I don't necessarily agree with the previous reviewer, but I'm glad I picked this up used instead of paying full price. The arrangements are inventive and well played. Worthwhile as a collection and reflection of the period in which it was recorded, but if you're not interested in many of the acts on this SACD, you're probably not going to listen to it much. Absolutely stunning production by Booker T. Jones and vocals by Willie Nelson elevate this from the "Country" category it's been unfairly placed in. This is an excellent collection of standards that belongs in any collection of American popular song.

I've always enjoyed this album, and played it to death decades ago, so I'm pretty familiar with how it's sounded in the past. That said, if you've never liked this Stones album, you probably won't like this release of it, but if you're in on the joke and appreciate it for what it is, pick it up ... more

Since this is a live concert, the recording quality isn't going to be as good as a studio release, and since it's unlikely that we'll ever get a SACD release of Pink Floyd's "The Wall," this is probably the best we're ever going to get.
