I just bought the original Epic stereo release and the SACD seems lackluster in comparison. It sounds too similar to the original which is dull & lifeless. I have not heard the SACD version, but the DVD Audio 25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition sounds good. The sequence of songs on the DVD Audio disc do not follow the original LP record.

I wish all SACD & DVD Audio discs sounded this good. I can't state any more than whats already been said regarding this disc except that Steely Dan truly cares about the quality in their surround/DTS Stereo mixing. Overall, a great sounding SACD Disc!

I was disappointed after listening to the SACD surround mix. The stereo mix is by far more solid and has more depth than the SACD mix. Some of the panning of instruments is kind of strange and didn't seemed to fit properly in the surround mix.
