Considering the beauty of the pieces presented here and the first-class rendition Capriccio Basel delivers it is a shame that outside of the famous Corelli op. 6, very little of the great number of concertoi grossi by Italian composers of the time are available on disc or present in the mind of the average baroque music lover. If you like Corelli's music, go for this and enjoy it! I repeat - extremely beautiful music. Sound is great, too: spacious but powerful and clear. The future of the Capriccio label is uncertain, as its owner, DELTA, went bankrupt. Get this while you can.
