If you are looking for a wonderful performance of the Dvorak look no further than Harmonia Mundi HMC801867
[Dvorak: Cello Concerto, Dumky Trio - Jean-Guihen Queyras]
With a superb upper register, Queyras sings us through the entire concerto - no self absorbed "point making" just a feeling that here is a soloist who loves the music and (like Julia Fischer) has the resources to convey that with great beauty.
On the other hand, one might think about what an SACD of a performance by Wispelwey and, say the Budapest Festival Orchestra on Channel Classics might be like and if that might "float your boat" click on
http://www.channelclassics.com/forum/index.html
to register that comment on Channel Classics forum, where Jared Sachs asks for folk's repertoire and artist requests.
(In light of yesterday's post I am shamelessly persistant, aren't I ?)

Windsurfer, I enjoy your posts, keep at it, but could we get you to spell Mr. Sacks' name correctly? (Add a smiley face here).
