Anybody have this SHM SACD version of Imagine?

I just purchased from CDJapan. There are reviews from the Blu Ray version and I certainly trust Rickko as a reviewer but my experience of the HFPA's have been hit and miss.

Oh well already ordered anyway, at least I will get better packaging, hopefully better sound.

I have the BD~A Mark and have NO issues with it. Unfortunately, the BD~A and SHM~SACDs were NOT derived from the 2010 Yoko Ono remasters which are supposedly superior.

I have Plastic Ono Band (SHM~SACD) and while it's hardly perfection....not bad at all but would still prefer the superior ONO remixes.

Does not come in the little box........just Mini LP replica sleeve.

I have the SHM SACD's of Mind Games and Double Fantasy that I very much like, which is the reason I went for SHM SACD Imagine, got to have matching.

Interesting that the mini LP replicas (16) from Japan of The Beatles stereo SHM CD's have sold out except for 3 only remaining.
Meet The Beatles
Hard Days Night
Let It Be

That was fast, reissues released 12-17-2014.

I was able to get 8 of 16, thought I had more time.

I have no interest in purchasing it but there is a Japan Box, 6 discs, for sale $119.00 on CDJapan.

So Ralph are you saying, that possibly the best version may be the RBCD Lennon box set, Yoko 2010 remasters sold on Amazon for $112.39 with 9 discs?

Interesting. But I don't want to purchase more Lennon even though it is a great looking box set and big bang for buck.

It's hearsay, Mark. Having never heard the 2010 ONO remasters of the Lennon catalog I am only relaying the info that I've read online.

Why Universal didn't go with the supposedly better ONO masters is a kick in the butt, IMHO, unless they are somehow under the ownership of the Lennon Family....subject to further licensing agreements.

As far as the Beatles Japanese or otherwise remasters, I am perfectly content with the Apple USB stick 44.1/24 bit remasters loaded into my Meridian SooLoos. Superb sound all around.

Played my Rhino/Warner's MLP DVD~A 5.1 of Workingman's Dead last night (haven't played it in eons) and it sounds brilliant. Haven't heard the MoFi stereo remaster but can't imagine it sounding any better. Surround and stereo remix done by Dead drummer extraordinaire Mickey Hart. A sonic equivalent to the dualdisc of American Beauty.
