Like Martinu and Bartók, Penderecki is an acquired taste -- I'm still acquiring.... As with Martinu, I won't strain myself to write a full review, but just note my impressions here:

LOVE the solo cello piece, HATE the piece with clarinet, ENJOY the rest.

This chamber programme by the composer of the Threnody to the victims of Hiroshima, of the David's Psalms and of Saint Luke's Passion illustrates this statement by Penderecki himself :
‘Today, having gone through the post-Romantic lesson, and having exhausted the potential of post-modern thinking, I see my artistic ideal in claritas. I turn to chamber music in the belief that more can be said softly, condensed into the tone of three or four instruments. This escape into musical privacy might be an answer of sorts of our own fin de siècle, to the acceleration of history and to the turmoil of overturned norms of culture, ethics, and politics.’
Surrounded by friends and long-standing partners, the members of the Prazak Quartet, who are together great soloists, have recorded here the tribute they gave to the greatest Polish composer alive, Krzysztof Penderecki, for his 70th birthday.

This SACD is listed as stereo here on sa-cd.net, but after some googling for more information about Penderecki chamber music I noticed at least three web stores lists this SACD as MCH.

Anyone that has this SACD that may confirm one or the another?

Since I'm listening in stereo right now, I can't answer you, but interestingly, though the case says "multi-channel' the disc itself does not.
As to the music, a friend did a blind playing of the String Trio, and though I couldn't identify it, I could identify it as something I liked very much!

I can confirm that this disc is Stereo only - as Arthur says, the SACD case is labelled multichannel and stereo but the disc is labelled as stereo only.
My player reads the disc as stereo only and plays it as such.

As the sextet was recorded in 2002 the absence of multichannel is perhaps understandable (although the other works were recorded at the end of 2004).

The web stores are obviously confused by the error that Praga have made in their packaging.
