Mozarts: Complete Piano Concertos

Zacharias on MDG has recorded all the solo concertos, though not the duo concertos, and I for one love them. But stay tuned (?) [I have no inside knowledge]

- Verdi: Aida,

- Mozart: The Magic Flute

Aida is here...Karajan & Callas - 4 Great Operas

The Magic Flute is here...Mozart: Die Zauberflöte - Kuijken

I like both of these. I would certainly welcome other recordings of these works on SACD.

I would have liked to have seen that live performance. I would think that would have been a one-off considering it's complexity, correct?

BTW, I've discovered prestoclassical have the 16/44.1 FLAC file of the 2004 remaster of the RBCD, as well as the 320 Kbp/s mp3.

I plan to download the FLAC file and process it for 24/176.4 FLAC, as I typically do for the most important works.

Yes, that Arditti concert of the Nono was a one-off. Probably the most exciting classical concert I've ever witnessed, real edge-of-one's-seat stuff. I've got one other recording of the Nono quartet, by the Pellegrini Quartet, not as good though.
The LaSalle were the first performers of this quartet, but were dismissed by Nono himself, upon which the Arditti were anointed as the true interpreters.
Would be great to have a new recording on SACD, but am not holding my breath.
