Could you let all of us know who's playing what on this SACD?

Regards

Orchestral Wagner potpourri; I've ordered it but it hasn't arrived yet. It's culled from a DG double CD of Wagner overtures etc issued a number of years ago, and was given a very enthusiastic review in an old edition of the Penguin stereo guide

Thanks Daland

I was hoping for the Parsifal from Jochum (shame no prelude though) & the rest is pretty good too. I'd be interested by what you think the "surround" sounds like. Also, do these releases have an untainted stereo version too?

Regards

If multichannel is really capable to recreate the recording environement this will make ones head spinn, constantly changing from one orchestra hall to the other within minutes.
Curious to hear wether the differences between the recording sites can actually be heard, am rather sceptical because these are probably not original multichannel. I'm afraid one will hear the same artificial AMSI II hall on all tracks.

Do you actually have this disc ? Cant find it in any store. It does'nt appear on the DG website and has vanished from the "Klassikakzente" site.(goes for all Eloquence SA-CDs)

You can order it through the vendor links here. It's been reviewed so it must exist! I think you'll find that it's gone from http://www.klassikakzente.de because of site updates for the current month.

Just read my review. I ordered this SACD from jpc and received it about a week ago (together with the Mozart concertos and Beethoven's Choral Symphony). All these releases feature a CD stereo layer and an SACD multi-channel version, but no SACD stereo layer.

Really? Does it note this specifically on the disc or is this what your player tells you? I must admit I'm surprised.

I know, but usually older articles can still be found on the updated site. Also i used the catalog and new releases search on both the DG and Klassikakzente sites without result.
