I know. Anyway, speaking of chopsticks and food, had some wonderful sukiyaki and spring rolls for Christmas dinner tonight along with a Japanese radish salad. My wife and I have Japanese food for Christmas nowadays and stick with the American cuisine for Thanksgiving.

Hope everyone had some good tasty food this Christmas.

Beef Jerky and Mountain Dew

Here we have Biltong, which is 100 times better than Jerky.
In case you never heard of Biltong here is what I found on the web.

What is the difference between Biltong and Beef Jerky?
Biltong is dry cured and not cooked and there are no preservatives. Dry cure means that the Biltong has a soft texture when you chew it. Jerky is saturated with preservatives and then cooked at 160F for 6 hours. You may as well eat a piece of cardboard with some flavor in it. The other big difference is our spices. Our authentic South African spices have 22 components and this gives our Biltong a unique and distinctive taste to that of Beef Jerky.

I personally do not like biltong either, give me a good Parma Ham anyday
accompanied with it a nice chilled Nebiolo. (It is hot down here)
and I am a snob!!

I can testify to that.

Goes down quite nicely with good pinotage like Kanonkop, IMHO.

Cheers,
