Geez, this is really delightful. From the first cut, this is infections, wonderful music, played by people who are clearly having fun! The recording is beautifully done. Read Castor's review, and do yourself a favor. Great price for two discs, too.

It's available now on the Channel Classics site. Shipping charges should be reasonable in Europe.

You're right, thanks for pointing that out. Just cancelled my Amazon pre-order and ordered direct from Channel instead. Been looking forward to this one for a long time!

Oh man, they have another winner here! It would be hard to imagine more spirited performances or better sound.

I have my copy now and agree it's fabulous. Very cheap from Amazon too, don't know why.

It's a lot more varied than you might assume. There are many different instruments here that each take their parts. I prefer this set to La Stravaganza.

I ordered mine yesterday for $23.91, and now it's $17.77? Not cool, Amazon. I got free 2-day shipping, and it arrived today, but still...

Edit: They contacted me and said I'd receive a refund for the $6.14 difference.

I confess that for me Vivaldi is, like gelato, 'a guilty pleasure'.... I have Vivaldi: La Stravaganza - Podger/Arte Dei Suonatori and have been hesitant to indulge in more Italian sweets by Podger et alia. Thank you everyone for your eloquent enthusiasm for this issue, I have again surrendered to temptation.

Best when enjoyed in small helpings, even when, as here, everything about it is delizioso.
