Hopefully, Chandos will complete the trilogy now that they've started.
I think I've heard that they will be doing that.

No, I saw it on Chandos' site, but see in the review here that it talks about it.

Been listening to this recording this weekend. It's absolutely delightful. We have only had to wait 12 years for a complete Sleeping Beauty on SACD. This one is well worth the wait.
Yes, one only needs to sample the first two tracks to be convinced that the best is yet to come. However, I found the famous 'valse' a bit restrained.
Notwithstanding, glorious sound all round as expected of Chandos' minimal mike-recording. The Chandos engineers appear to capture better sound with the Bergen Philharmonic than the BIS team.
Glad to read from the sleeve notes that the same force is projected to record the remaining 2 great Tchaikovsky's ballets.

Yes, I'm enjoying this a great deal and will be happy to see the others as they emerge. I'm also glad that over the last couple of years Chandos has changed its famous (notorious?) house sound and now gets us closer, in this case I think a bit too close, to the orchestra. I prefer the sound BIS gets from this venue, less technicolor, more natural concert balance, but can quite understand that others may differ. Some of us prefer to sit in the first ten rows, others prefer to be further back.

This is good but I still prefer Dorati/Concertgebouw.

Two of Previn's London trio are now on EMI J SACD so Sleeping Beauty cannot be far behind. It is very good on RB-CD so may be worth waiting for as a rival to the new Jaarvi

Well, we know the Previn won't be in MCH, so I see no competition really.
