Well I must also admit I have not previously been a Mozart sonata fan but was curious at this disc due to the pianist excellent discs in this series so far.His playing seems to be devoid of any mannerisms that detract over several listening and this suits the works he has released.I also had been advised that this was remarkably well played by a more knowledgable reviewer. Its everything he said and one of the bargains amongst 24 Membrans that vary from excellent(this) to awfull.(a couple) The variety in the works on this disc adds to its appeal, usual mention that Membran nearly forgot to include a (long enough) gap between works and I would suspect that this and its companion disc which I didnt order are probably very safe bets as bargain price if you want to dip into this repetoire. Recording quality better that CD but not quite up to DSD standard but close enough. Probably 4 and a quarter stars overall.Dave
