Performance:   Sonics:
This sacd was a really big letdown for me. It's also a very good example of where you could be 99 perecent sure it will be a winner only to find out that you've spent your money foolishly.

Why???? It gets interesting. I discovered that this album was recorded in 1980. I wrongfully but innocently concluded that they would record this in pure dsd from the original master tapes. But guess what?? It was recorded in low rez pcm digital. Actually 14/ 50 bit kz.

So while the performance is actually good and I have no doubt that it is a faithful reproduction of the original recorded source. It is alas still low rez pcm from the early days of digital recording. And if you are a true fan of pure dsd recording there is absolutely no substitute.

Essentially what you are getting is slightly better than a cd but should never be construed as a real sacd even though dsd was used as a transfer method.

It cost me thirty five bucks. Ouch!!!
