  It's complicated.
Both consumer and recording production gear.
Analogue and digital.

I enjoyed receivers with digital signal processing for a number of years, until I had
some kind retrograde brain spasm and find myself now in the mid 70s early 80s again.
A few years on eBay and many thousands of dollars later,
I now do a lot of my music listening in the analogue domain as I did back then.
LPs, CD-4, open reel tape, and analogue outs from my Oppo 105 and 105D.
(Also own the 83 and 9 3which can still play my SACD-R discs.)

A new response from Eric Guillemaud of Alia Vox today: "the noises that we can hear is not of electric nature. This is the noise made by the chorus members when they rises from their noisy seats (this was a live recording at the Royal Chapel in Versailles). Many other noises have been deleted, but these ones were simply too loud." So, problem ... more
