I'm amazed at just how clean the sound is -- especially the percussion -- and lt leaves the sound of the standard CD way behind. Only in the heaviest moments of "Us and Them" do I feel that the recording shows its age (listening through Stax Lambda professional phones, connected directly to my SACD ...

I'm a real Tangerine Dream fan and have been for the past thirty years, so all I really need to say is that I hope Virgin will seriously consider releasing all the other TD albums in their catalogue on SACD! I will, however, add that I also have two different-sourced CDs and the LP of "Rubycon" and ...

These recordings originate from the 1960s and the performance of "Le Sacre", made when the composer was eighty, is generally regarding as the one by which all others are judged and is remarkable for its rhythmic drive, without any feeling of undue haste. There is sensitivity too in quieter moments ...
