I fully agree with the Previous reviewer.

Let me add my 2 cents on the SACD.

The instruments are for sure recorded with great fidelity. The sound is great, but the stereo mix is a missing some harmony and orchestral timber.
I know the main pupose for Tacet and thus also this recording is to leverage a good Multichannel Mix, but I still prefer music over 2 channel, you can call me old fashion but hey I love music not sounds effects ;-)
Anyhow I still recommend this SACD it is a High Fidelity (clear, detailed, instruments are perfectly rendered) recording and the Performance is very vivid, specially with Peter.

If you like Camille "Carnival of the Animals" you will like this one.

On the one hand this surround demo disc - it is meant that way - contains appealingly moderated and experimental classical music by explicitly using all channels, but on the other hand there are some awesome audiophile experiences onside as well. Just listen to the brilliant interpretation of Prokofiev, e. g. the grandfather, the hunters or the procession as well as to Saint-Saëns astonishingly flourishing "Aquarium" or "Fossils". As I mentioned implicitly, I do think not only the musicians but also Mr. Cole does a great job as speaker. While he flies around as an owl or when the speaker's speaker is switched, you might check out your audio surround system.
In my opinion this is a surround disc containing excellent interpreted masterpieces of classical music. There's great sublimities to be found. If you don't feel bored because children are addressed by the speaker you can experience a soundscape found rarely. If you got children and a surround system, well, in my eyes this disc is a perfect opportunity to listen together.
It's a very good listening experience in stereo, too. In my eyes this recording is perfect for valve amplified electronics - in contrast to TACET's "tube only" recordings where bass fundament and dynamics are just missing!
