How about some new House, Club, Techno, Trance, ambient music, even Chill Out? Ibiza anyone?? ;)

Kraftwerk: Minimum-Maximum (International Version) sounds awesome and shows the potential for this music in surround.

Yes! They could re-release Kraftwerk at a tenth of the price it fetches now and it'd be a huge seller!

Criminal that Kraftwerk's ouvre is not available in 5.1: Radioactivity, Man Machine, Autobahn, Trans Europe Express, etc.

I like Yes but Kraftwerk is equally worthy of the Steve Wilson magic touch.

I'd be happy to have the existing quad mix of Autobahn. On Q8 it was split up into two programs to save tape.

The sheer fact that both SACD 5.1 editions of Minimum/Maximum have sold out should be an indication that there is absolutely, indeedy, a market for 5.1 Kraftwerk reissues of their back catalog titles.

Duh!

and...

Art Of Noise: Daft.

Art Of Noise: Reconstructed

Tangerine Dream: Rubycon

They could also give nearly everything on Hearts of Space a 5.1 mix.

For example: Steve Roach's music. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Roach_(musician)

I believe Wachuma's Wave has a 5.1 mix and was released as a download and DVD. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfzWMFIr9iU

One should note that Steve Hoffman's comments on these 5.1 reissues DOES NOT specify that there will be a STEREO SACD segment as well. He mentions only that there will be redbook stereo for those who do not own SACD players. This would imply that only those who own multi-channel players with receivers will be able to hear these releases in DSD.

SH has since tweeted (and it was relayed on the SH forum) that there will be SACD Stereo as well as redbook CD and 5.1 SACD on these upcoming Audio Fidelity releases. SH added that when he can talk about them he will.

From Steve Hoffman's Twitter feed...

"Audio Fidelity multichannel SACDs will have 5.1 plus vintage 2 track mix for stereo DSD and stereo CD section. Something for everyone."

He later tweeted:

---------------

"What to release, vintage Quad mixes in the vaults, plus unissued more recent attempts? But, the first few have to sell first, we'll see."

---------------

"We will have at least 10 multichannel SACD's in the pipeline, remastered by me or Kevin Gray from AF. If successful, there will be more."
