hoop, it was her first solo project for Blue Coast Records. Fiona Joy (without the surname Hawkins) threw me off initially. I should have it by next week. Will post my impressions. Complete sample tracks are available at the Blue Coast Records website. I cannot post a link as it is also a vendor site.
Thanks for the tip, ordered it. This will be the fourth SACD from her.

Ditto, hoop.
Should sound great and hope it is in multichannel as the Blue Coast Site mentions nothing about multi but the HRAudio site does and all of her previous albums have been multi.

NOT exactly Rock 'n Roll (not even close) but I am always looking around for hi res New Age music so I took a chance and ordered this: http://www.hraudio.net/showmusic.php?title=10885
For what it's worth.....10 5 star reviews @ AmazonUS.
From the Blue Coast Records Label. Also available as DSD/Flac downloads from the Blue Coast Label Site.
Will post my impressions when I receive it.
Sweet Dreams are made of this! And yeah, how about some Eurythmics on SACD or some of Annie Lennox's solo albums?
I'm not really very good at recognising various genre, and New Age is definitely one of those! I just can't get out of my head a vision of long-haired people in open-toed sandals sitting crossed-legged on the floor. Joss sticks burning, lots of beads and all that! Whatever music I've got that's classed as New Age though, I like - and Ralph, you're right that we could do with some more hi-res and multi-channel releases of this type of music. The likes of (more stuff from) Kitaro, Andreas Vollenweider etc.
I shall look forward to feedback on this SACD you've just highlighted.

I certainly will Steve. In the meantime, we NEW AGERS can enjoy this awesome time lapse photography of an actual MOONRISE captured at the Cape Byron Lighthouse, Bryon Bay, in New South Wales Australia:

Ralph - thanks. Very impressive link - reminds me at first (just a little bit) of the Tangerine Dream cover from the album "Hyperborea", I think it is.
Do you happen to have the Kitaro SACD "Sacred Journey of Ku-Kai" - and by any chance the "Ku-Kai" CDs? If yes, what do you think AQ-wise of the CDs? I really rate the "Ku-Kai" SACD very highly - and really wish there'd be more Kitaro on a hi-res format with MCH audio. I have all the hi-res albums of his, with the exception of the "Soong Sisters" soundtrack.
PS I listened to a new CD that I recently acquired last night, "Land of Enchantment" by Claus Deuter. I haven't heard any of his music for nearly 20 years - but it was very nice.

Steve, I have the Kitaro disc and LOVE it.
Another VERY high recommendation: "Checkfield Surrounded" from the American Gramaphone Label
A Sample (included on the album) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C91HT01f5ms
A dual disc with MLP DVD~A Ultra Discrete 5.1 Surround and a DVD~V side (DTS/DD 5.1) with a RBCD, as well. Exceptionally superb sonics and a real keeper. Still VERY affordable (new/used) from AmazonUS. IGNORE the bad review on Amazon because when you play it all the way through you will be thoroughly enchanted.
BTW, Steve, I do have the "Soong Sisters" Soundtrack. SACD Stereo. VERY nice but NOT your typical Kitaro album.
Another beauty. The Classic Records DVD~A 96/24 stereo of James Horner's soundtrack to "Glory." In terms of SQ/Performance.....simply amazing. Still available at AmazonUS (DVD~A) but premium priced. Ironically, one can purchase the newly 4K restored BD~V of "Glory" for under $15!

Thanks, Ralph. Oh dear - all these new temptations of more music to buy!
Do you have the "Ku-Kai" CDs as well as the SACD, i.e. vols. II and III?

Just received a new batch of BD-A (Yes: Fragile/Gentle Giant: Octopus/XTC:Oranges &Lemons and King Crimson: THRAK superdeluxe 16 disc box)
Fragile contains even the entire 5.1 mix from 2003 aside from flat transfers and new SW mixes - very good job indeed. Bonuses are not very impressive this time, but the album deserved corrections here and there and we can call it definitive either for content and the sound quality as well.
Octopus sound pretty good, but I cannot compare it with other releases (believe it or not it is my premiere with this album) except for fan club release of The Edge of Twilight (where Octopus is represented by 7 of the 8 original tracks (Dogs Life was omitted). The improvement over CD release is obvious and it need not be further commented. Aside from new mixes there is also original Quad transfer presented as a flat transfer.
XTC third surround venture is very welcomed cause previous digital releases were not good. It is no surprise to me, that even an album from the band you would not rate it as a first class shines when you can hear it in hi-res!
King Crimson does not sound very impressive in comparison to HDCD release from 2002 remaster. Dynamic range is slightly better but some compression remains even with this release:
