I see from the BIS newsletter that we have the Mendelssohn piano trios in store, too, courtesy of the Sitkovetsky Trio. I wonder if we might hope for the Beethoven piano trios in due course, but perhaps we've demanded enough of Robert already.

If only the demand here would translate in sales, when we actually do record and release the c. 5 SACD:s per month we do, all would be just dandy.

Sometimes I have the feeling that BIS and its SACD production is just taken for granted and the fact that we do that much (more than anyone else) is by and large passed over in this Forum nowadays. Quite few reviews, quite few discussions, quite few reactions, especially if compared to some years ago.

Anyway, we soldier on. SACD is it for us, and we never delete.

Well Robert, some of us buy your SACDs by the proverbial bucket load. When I look at my CD collection (about 3,000) the black spines shine out very nicely. When I look at my SACD collection (550) there does seem to be a majority of those black spines! Not quite sure how you juggle the finances to produce 60+ SACDs a year and year after year but I for one am grateful.

Well, your commitment to SACD has ensured my custom and loyalty: over the past year, I've bought about thirty recordings by BIS, but only one by SACD-rejecting Hyperion. Unfortunately, I am no more representative of the buying public than BIS is of record companies.
