There're now simply too many holes in the review section of the new site.

Bill,

Your reviews are succinct and well-observed. Some are the only reviews posted for those titles. If they still reflect your opinions, consider posting, rewriting or excerpting them as comments on the new site. That will help fill the holes.

Thanks for the suggestion, Mark. I have posted a few comments on the new site but hadn't thought of using the old copy and paste technique. Glad to see you, Mark Novak, Adrian Quanjer et al added to the list of reviewers for the new site, it provides hope for fairly thorough review coverage going forward. And thanks for the comment/link on the new Ars disc of Bloch, Honegger, etc.

I was wondering if one little suggestion might help.

The home page is great, and now has the hyper link at bottom that says: "Looking For Recent Additions?" Which is good.

The only way that you can see the side bar that has "Recent Reviews" and "Recent Comments" is if you click on ANY of the 12 album covers on the home page.

Would it be possible to put the side bar on the Home Page also. I know how to get to the side bar, but if I was a newcomer, and none of the rotating 12 album covers interested me, I might miss the side bar, and in lieu of a forum, the side bar will get people to engage in the new site.

Anyone found a way of viewing the "Recent Reviews" and "Recent Comments" when browsing the site using a phone? The sidebar only seems to appear when I use my laptop.

The "Recent/Review/Recent Comments" sidebar only appears when your display device has sufficient width. Even on a laptop or desktop computer, if you narrow the width of the browser window, the sidebar will not be visible or accessible. Since use of the Comments feature is increasing, likely this issue will be addressed as the site design evolves.

Go to HRAudio.net. Use drop-down menu and click 'About'.

Contact John Broggio for Content and Administration.

So is there no interface which allows you submit new and old titles to the site like there is on this site? I've submitted dozens of SACDs to this site, and I have lots of DVD-A titles which I'd love to get into the database as well.

Do I really need to contact an administrator each and every time that I want to add a new title to the site? No thank-you to that.

Thanks Undertone. As you say, hopefully this will be added at some point.

One other quick point re the "Recent Comments": I cannot see any logic to which ones appear. I just clicked through now and was presented with comments from the 26th, 18th, 28th, 28th, 19th and 30th (in that order).

I then went back to the home page, clicked on a different disc cover from the "Recent Reviews" and was presented with a different set of comments from the 26th, 16th, 9th, 26th, 28th, 18th, 26th and 27th.

Not sure if they are somehow linked to the disc you clicked on from the home page (there was no obvious link I could discern) or whether it is just a random selection.

If this forum is going to be switched off at some point and not replaced over at the new site, I would personally find it useful to be able to view the 10 or so most recent comments so I could see what discs people were talking about and whether any new posts had been contributed.

It says on the "home" page of this site that:

"Create a login with the same email address as you use here and your library, wish list and recommendations will be carried over."

So you should be okay.

How do I find what email I used to set up this account so I can set up at the new site?

Click on your username in the top right hand corner of the site where it says:

Login: eljr

Then click on "Edit details" and it should display the e-mail address associated with your account.

Ok, I'm still trying to figure-out how to submit unlisted SACDs and DVD-As to the new site. Is there ever going to be a way to do this on the new site?

I've got about 30 disks which I'd like to get listed, and I'm even willing to do the data entry for these. I've emailed the content person twice now, but I haven't even received a response yet.

So as best as I can tell at this point, unless you are a manufacturer or distributor, they no longer have any interest in hearing about any new or missing titles.

I'm warming to the new site overall now. But this particular issue would constitute a show-stopper in my book.
