I'd start with the Pollini and the Perahia Etudes. The latter is currently on Gramphone's short list for "Record of the Year". I haven't heard the Ashkenazy (on Decca) but reports on the sonics haven't been great. There's a new disc from Burkard Schliessmann which looks interesting. Also, another new disc of the Piano Concerto No. 2 with Mari Kodama.

hi croc, have just received the Ashkenazy Chopin SACD in the post. Will leave a review next week. Worth noting in light of Stephen's (i.e. zeus's) comment about sonics that its a four-channel 48kHz, 24 bit PCM recording, not original/all DSD. So am not sure what sound to expect. Will let you know.
