I also received an email saying that my order (Dire Straits) was shipped. I looked up the status at Japan Post EMS International. It says "Dispatch from outward office of exchange" (Tokyo International Branch)as of 7:11am 24 August 2010.

My copies of the Arrau/Liszt and the Ozawa/Brahms-Ravel discs are on their way. My order for the Ozawa/War Requiem remains canceled by CDJapan although it is still listed.

This will be released on September 22 with a different serial number so you'll have to reorder it. Links here:

First review of Dire Straits S/T album on SACD:
You know something? I just listened to the Dire Straits SACD, and at least to my ears, it sounds very, very good. Lots of detail, without any harshness - the bass, ride cymbal and lead guitar on "Sultans of Swing" sound very accurate. The only other copy that I have is the Vertigo, and if no one else does it, I'd be willing to do a comparison. It's a Takiguchi mastering from the Japan master tape

Yep I think this says it all.

It does not explain why knowledge of current events is still abysmal over there.British Petroleum ceased to exist many years ago.

Personally I think the way this discussion deviated has been quite revealing.Xenophobic fears based on ancient history.An interesting observation that God cannot create a monachy.lol.

Good for McCartney. Totally ridiculous song, much like God Bless America.

I thought that the Revolutionary War ended in 1776. And Paulo, I'm glad you have your finger on the pulse of the nation.

In closing, God Save the Queen, Barack Obama and Trollbuster! [H.A.T.S. off to Trollbuster but seriously, chap, put a C.A.P. on it!]

And to make this post relevant, I too have 6 SHM~SACDs en route from CDJapan and seven more on the way.

Let no one accuse Rammiepie of being Attention Deficit! {The only deficit is in my bank account after shelling out mullah for 13 SHM~SACDs}
