Well, here is an album I can really comment on in terms of sound quality, as I've heard them live this year twice. Which, given I'm in Perth Australia and they're a Swedish Jazz outfit is somewhat remarkable!

Anyways, this is a lovely warm recording. Its very smooth and missing the harsh mid-band that you find from Bose speakers at a live gig. However, there is also a little of the live sparkle missing.

Overall, the result is something as enjoyable as the live gig, in fact for me, the warm balance to the sound is much preferable and I wish this was the sound being piped through the speakers at the gig.

The music is really fantastic and we are very lucky to be able to get this album on SACD, it came with a sticker on it saying it was German Jazz album of the year.. I'm not suprised.

Daniel.

PS. On Jazz I am very hard, being a sphere I am very familiar with. 4 stars is a very strong effort.

I recently purchased this disc as well as the new "Tuesday Wonderland". I like both discs very much. However, since this group really is a new discovery for me, I won't bore you with a review of the music as there are some very good reviews of both discs to be found on the Internet.

What I wanted to note here , which has not been noted previously, is that the use of the extra channels on the MCH version contain ambience information only as opposed to "Tuesday Wonderland" which has a very good MCH mix that makes excellent use of all 5.1 channels.
