Must admit its taken me a while to decide on this one.Initially a bit put off by its first repetative track and then the album progresively grows on you after 3 or 4 plays.Sumlin was the guitarist for many years with Howlin Wolf and apparatly EC has picked up a lot of his style and this disc is an interesting variety of easy going blues thats not going to have you feeling blue.bit like Muddy waters with less emotion....Also short measure at 45 minutes..A few instrumentals as fillers give you the feeling that its been hastily cobbled together by these musicians after the European tour they were on.A couple of tracks are boring, with some really good numbers well done, better are the slower ones. The playing naturally is first class and is matched by excellent recording.5 stars goes to the Bass player whos drive keeps this interesting but his singing voice is less than stellar. Could have been betterbut I will still try any of this labels releases..
