I bought all five SACDs and have been a Moody Blues fan since the late late 1960's.

The engineers kept these SACDs as close to the original sound as they could. As a result, the emphasis is on the bass, vocals, mid-range, and a smoooooth sound.

The vocals and bass guitar are outstanding. Better than the record, in my opinion. The SACD is dynamic and makes the CD sound flat. And everything is smoooooth. The instruments stand out. On the CD, I have difficulty telling the instuments from one another.

I've never listened to this album. So I can't compare to the original. It's sonically one of the better MB SACDs. However, I just can't get into the storyline. It bores me to listen to this album. I'm not sure why. I know thoers who really love it.

Being true to the original, in most cases, the drums are muted. It's as if they are behind the curtain. And the trebble is smooth, but drops off way to early. I guess the engineers wanted that smoooooth sound.

"Our Children's Children's Children" was the 4th classic Moodies Psych album released and for me is a great addition of their great 7 early albums....all of which I have on SACD. This is I think the loneliest and dreamiest of the seven albums.....i think the song "Floating" kind of sums up this album.

Musically the moodies were still a highly symphonic band that wrote hauntingly and deeply beautiful songs.

Sonically this SACD is superb offering a wide soundstage with great speaker separation and instrumental differentiation. I have the redbook remastered CD as well and this SACD version is far superior sounding.

Like all the Moody Blues SACD in this series they have used the original quadraphonic mixes which give another look into these albums.

Arguably the best of the seven classics. Easily listened to on repeat. Another revelatory SACD remix...
