Performance:   Sonics:
Like the last reviewer this was the first time I'd listened to Laura Nyro and was saddened that this album was released after she passed from cancer. The world lost an amazing song writer and performer. Her songs are inspiring. I especially enjoyed "Let it Be Me." If you want a song that makes a grown up cry...this is the one...and I am not much of a cryer. This cd should be in your collection just to hear this song. I also enjoyed the song that was popular in the 1970s, "Will you love me tomorrow?" The performance is soulful with a feeling of questioning and and longing. I would love her in the tomorrow. With a voice and talent like that, who wouldn't?

The sonics on the album are stunning. The performance is equal. This is one to add to the collection.

Laura Nyro was an unknown to me, like so many discs I bought since I got my SACD player this was my first introduction to an artist.
And what an introduction it is. This is a very impressive album, great songs, great singing, and great musicianship.
The album is a blend of solo with piano recordings and recordings using a full band. The band recordings are great, giving a full well balanced sound. The solo with piano with piano stuff is great as well, giving you the chance to listen to Laura’s lovely voice more clearly as in the tracks using a band.
The only thing that’s bad about the album is the fact the album was released posthumously, which means the booklet is a pretty sad read while listening to the SACD. But it does give you a extra appreciation for them music you are listening to.

This album is both musically and sonically stunning.
