Performance:   Sonics:
Unlike Ella and Louis, this album is actually true mono mastering (both channels are bit for bit the same). The instruments are a bit higher up in the mix and more spacious, too. Plus, the treble is balanced. There is a bit of a cut somewhere in the midrange. Not sure if that's a fault of the original tape or not. All the same, this well well worth the price of admission

Performance:   Sonics:
I don't own any previous releases. Sonics are good. The voices of both Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong are very life-like (just a little bit harsh, but that is I suspect mostly due to my room acoustics which I hope will be fixed soon). I am only gaving it 4 stars for sonics as the rest of the instruments seem to be slightly veiled. Even so, highly recommended.
