This is a mixed bag.
I enjoyed the rich piano tones - some of the best i have heard recently. Playing is frustrating to my ears - at least initially - i think the trick here is to realize that this is "New Age" music, and make some kind of mental adjustment. There seemed to be all sorts of unsuual ... more |

This is a reproduction recording. The intention of the producers is to make a clear recording of an artist who performed before modern recording systems became available. The sound is clear and the piano tone is also good, the music style strikes me as ragtime tather than jazz, but this should apeal ... more |

What can I say that has not already been said?
This is a georgeous disk. Beethoven string quartets can be dry - I have several disks at home that rarely get aired.

This is a very enjoyable recording of Concerti Grossi op 3 by Handel. The tunes are less sophisticated than some of Handel's later compositions, and in other cases (as Handel is well known for) the tunes are the same as in later compositions!
