I was never a big fan of the way Archie Shepp played the sax but after listening to the reissue by Venus jazz of this CD I've learned to enjoy it . Especially the way the trio is playing to back him up. five stars on the music and the quality of the SA CD. |

I guest I will be the odd ball on this review. I played this cd in stereo and it was awful sounding. So I'm going to listen to it again and will amend this review if it was my system or a faulty cd |

Im not a big Johnny Mathis fan, but my wife wanted me to get a cd to play on christmas morning, something a little traditional. The cd has good quality sound, and he actually does a good job back by a big band. The cd seems a little bright though. |

Just got this one in the mail. Some of the older SACD's I get sometimes are a disappointment. But this one is not. laid back musically, but it's just what I needed after a 60 hour work week. | If you like a well recorded cd and jazz that is laid back and natual sounding, you will not be disappointed with this one. I'd give it a 4 out of 5 stars ! ... more |

| I suck up every sacd I can get from artists that make music that I like !! I prefer a well recorded sacd over any thing else, but Ive found some badly recorded sacd's, and Ive also found a few companies that don't make sacd's but their music is recorded really well and those companies I'm loyal to and purchase lots of music from those companies !! ... more |
