With a great new 2014 Stereo remaster by Bob Ludwig and a revised 5.1 Surround mix, where the rear channels are slightly lowered in level (criticism 10 years ago the rears on the SACD/DVD-A were overloud) and a less bright and forward sounding remix than before, it seems many of the problems people ... more |

A wonderful sounding Blu-ray Disc!
This represents a huge sonic upgrade from the CD remaster, there's a palpable sense of almost 3D depth to the soundstage, its extraordinary.. you'd be forgiven for thinking your rear speakers are active at times, this is a superb stereo mix.

A very nice sounding Blu-ray Disc and a dramatic upgrade from the previous redbook remasters (mid 90's, late 90's and Deluxe Edition..) Universal have really flogged this one to death over the years and the sounds never been right thru all those various remasters and reissues.

To clarify exactly what is on this disc, as I've seen some confusion elsewhere online..
The source and mastering are identical to the 2005 30th Anniversary CD/DVD set.
That is to say the 5.1 mix is Brian May's revisited surround presentation of Elliot Scheiner's original 5.1 mix on DTS DVD-Audio, ... more |
