  March 29, 2015

The distinctive Russian composer Alfred Schnittke lived from 1934 to 1998. He is often perceived by many as the composer with the German name, but who is actually Russian. It's probably only partially correct, because he was really German all the time, with both father and mother with German ... more
Goebbels: Suite from Surrogate Cities, Frank Zappa: 5 works - Søndergård        (5 of 5 found this review helpful)

Then he had experienced some opposition during McCarthyism in the '50s for his support of the American Communist Party in the 30`s His work consisted, inter alia, ... more

I am sorry if this review is annoying. As others have mentioned, this release contain both a Blu-ray and a SACD disc, and i was listening to both. The comments regarding the sound goes to both the Blu-ray and the SACD. And needless to say - the "stars" for sound in stereo/multichannel is on the SACD, but would be the same for Blu-ray. I could have ... more
